ABOUT
Asha D is a central artist, producer, and musician in the French reggae scene.
A founding member of the Artikal Music label and the Artikal Band, he has collaborated with major figures such as Sizzla, Queen Omega, Yaniss Odua, Pierpoljak, and The Congos.
A committed singer, he began his career in 1998 with the compilation “+ de cœur = soleil” (Universal), and has since released acclaimed productions that blend powerful riddims with conscious lyrics.
In 2019, he launched riddiminstrumental.com, a platform gathering over 450 original riddims. His latest album, “Vivre en Paix” (2024), features Pierpoljak and Uman, with a new project planned for late 2025.
On stage, Asha D performs in sound system format with Lychar (Guiding Star Sound), in a hybrid duo with Artikal Fab, or with the Artikal Band. He has played at numerous festivals and notably opened for Yaniss Odua.
